Adekunle Oluwashina Abdulateef famously known as Zamorra is a 23 years old fast-rising Nigerian Afro-pop artist who was signed under Fox Records during the 2015-2016 period. Zamorra hit the limelight exploiting a Twitter trend “Importanter” by making a song off it. Zamorra, the only child of his parent was born in Ketu, Lagos but relocated to Ondo State, his hometown where he was brought up. He returned to Lagos after completing his secondary school education in Ondo. Zamorra also graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, where achieved his degree in Philosophy. Zamorra who happened to be very creative with Afro-soul sound converted the Twitter street new invention to the song “Importanter” which went viral almost immediately and also helped in trending the subject even more. As much as Zamorra and Importanter are concerned, they both helped each other to trend as he wasn’t the originator of the slang. While the trend helped the song to trend as well, Zamorra made a remix with Small Doctor the street ambassador, and a video was followed up. This saw the single “Importanter” trending nationwide and receiving massive airplay’s last.
