Brian Chukwuebuka Chijioke (born 1998) is a Nigerian Afropop singer and songwriter who is known by the stage name Bryann BBNaija.
He is one of the rising music acts in the Afrobeats music scene. He has warmed his way into the hearts of many Nigerians with hit songs such as Longé, Andale, and Jetan. He is also a reality TV star. BBNaija Bryann dropped his debut project, Ileke, in December 2021. His popularity rose internationally after he was unveiled as a housemate on the 7th season of the Big Brother Naija reality show in July 2022.
Bryann is the first child of the Chijioke family and has only one sibling, a younger sister. He is an Igbo man and hails from Imo State. However, he spent his formative years living in Lagos State and grew up in a spacious apartment in Festac, on the mainland axis of the city. He spent a part of his teenage years living in Ogun State because of his academic pursuit.
BBNaija Bryann began making music in high school but secretly did it. At the beginning of his artistic journey, his close friends and family members were not aware he could sing. He often created songs in his leisure hours, in the comfort of his bedroom. By the time BBNaija Bryann was admitted to the university, he had improved his singing and songwriting prowess. He decided to make music professionally and began performing at events in Lagos and Ogun State. He also visited radio stations to promote some of the songs he released during this period.
Bryann released his official debut single titled Longé on the 26th of February 2021. The music video of the song was released the same day. The Alien directed it.
BBNaija Bryann became an internet sensation by making the covers of popular songs. He recorded a cover of Bling by Blaqbonez and released it in May 2021.
His sophomore single, Andale, was released on the 7th of September, 2021. Like his first, Andale was well received by his fans and set him apart as an artist to watch out for in the Afropop music scene. The music video of Andale was shot and directed by Ibhukun, and it was released on the 10th of September, 2021.
He was a guest artist on the Joor Party Online Series by DJ Kaywise, in September 2021. He appeared as a guest on Glitch Africa show in October 2021, where he performed a live rendition of his songs. He was a guest artist in Mexico at the Trópico Acapulco in December 2021. He performed in the presence of thousands of fans at the concert.
BBNaija Bryann dropped his debut project, Ileke, in December 2021. The project is a 7-track EP featuring songs – Shokoto, Kerewa, Sarewagba, Andale, Jetan (Pant Off), Jegede, and Longé.
He dropped the single Chemical Reaction in February 2022. He released the single Magician in 2022. He composed the Acapella song, 5 Other Guys, which he posted in March 2022. Shortly after, he released another acapella arrangement titled Jangilovah. He dropped a cover to Fireboy DML‘s song, Playboy, in April 2022.
He performed a medley of his single, Shokoto, on The Guitar Show Series in May 2022. He dropped the single Juju Pt. 2, which was produced by Colors X Studios.
On the 23rd of July 2022, BBNaija Bryann was unveiled as one of the housemates in the Big Brother Naija reality show. Bryann is competing for the grand prize of 100 million naira to emerge as the Biggest Reality TV Star in Nigeria and the whole of Africa
